Sponsorship

We are so grateful for the financial support we’ve received from local businesses, organizations, individuals, and other 2SLGBTQIA+ groups. This generous support has allowed us to grow and keep improving our annual Pride March & Rally.

what are the benefits
of supporting Pembina Valley Pride?

When you sponsor Pride you are not only taking advantage of a great marketing opportunity for your business or organization; you are also letting people know that you support the positive social change that Pride represents. This is a great way to put your values into action, especially as we’re seeing more hate directed at 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

By partnering with Pembina Valley Pride, you’re increasing awareness of your business or organization and making the Pembina Valley and Manitoba an even better place to live.

Why is Pride important?

For 2SLGBTQIA+ people in the Pembina Valley, it sometimes feels like you’re the only one. This can create feelings of loneliness and isolation. Pride sends a clear message that there are 2SLGBTQIA+ folks here and provides people the opportunity to connect with their community, even if they haven’t come out to anyone.

Pride also gives allies the chance to show their support in a very public and visible way. We’ve heard from 2SLGBTQIA+ community members how impactful and meaningful it is to see friends, family, and people from their workplaces, places of worship, and schools showing up at Pride to support.

What does a pride celebration look like
in the pembina valley?

We strive to make our Pride March & Rally an inclusive and accessible event where our diverse community can gather for a joyful afternoon of building connections and celebrating the Rainbow community.

We start off the afternoon with a march on a pre-approved route, either on the street or sidewalk, and end up at a park where 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies share their impactful stories, make new friends, and connect with their community. We also have children's activities like face painting as there are usually a lot of families attending.
